7075 Aluminium sheet

7075 aluminium sheet is a cold-treated forging alloy with high strength and hardness, which is much better than soft steel. 7075 aluminium sheet is one of the most powerful commercial alloys. It has good corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties and anodic reaction. Fine grains make deep drilling better, tool wear resistance enhanced, thread rolling more different from the weight, when the density requirements are small, hardness requirements are higher preferred metal materials.

7075 aluminium sheet belongs to Al-Zn-Mg-Cu superhard aluminium. 7075 alloy has been used in aircraft manufacturing industry since the end of 1940s, and is still widely used in aviation industry as ultra-high strength deformed aluminium alloy. Its characteristics are: good plasticity after solution treatment, excellent heat treatment strengthening effect, high strength below 150 C, and excellent low temperature strength; poor weldability; stress corrosion cracking tendency; need to be coated with aluminium or other protective treatment. Dual aging can improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of the alloy. The plasticity under annealing and hardening is slightly lower than 2A12 under the same condition, slightly better than 7A04, static fatigue, notch sensitivity and stress corrosion resistance are better than 7A04. Among them, 7075-T651 is the most excellent product in aluminium alloy, and its strength is higher than that of mild steel. The alloy has good mechanical properties and anodic reaction. It is a typical special aluminum alloy material for aerospace and military industry.

2 ) Mechanical properties:

Tensile strength: 525Mpa

3 ) Typical uses:

It is used to manufacture aircraft structures and other high stress structural components with high strength and corrosion resistance, such as upper and lower wing panels, trusses, partitions, etc. Solution treatment has good plasticity, good heat treatment strengthening effect, high strength below 150 C, excellent low temperature strength, poor weldability, stress corrosion cracking tendency, and two-stage aging can improve SCC resistance. 4 ) Characteristic:

7075 is an aluminium alloy with zinc as the main alloy element, but sometimes a small amount of magnesium and copper is added. Among them, superhard aluminium alloys contain zinc, lead, magnesium and copper alloys, which are close to the hardness of steel and can be strengthened by heat treatment. 5 ) Heat treatment:

Zinc is the main alloy element in 7075. Adding magnesium to the alloy containing 3%-7.5% zinc can form MgZn2 with remarkable strengthening effect, which makes the heat treatment effect of the alloy far better than that of the Al-Zn binary alloy.

With the increase of zinc and magnesium content in the alloy, the tensile strength will be further improved, but the stress corrosion resistance and spalling corrosion resistance will decrease.

After heat treatment, very high strength characteristics can be achieved. 7075 materials are generally added with a small amount of copper, chromium and other alloys, of which 7075T651 aluminum alloy is particularly top-grade, known as the best product of aluminum alloy, high strength, far better than any mild steel.
