2A11 Aluminum sheet

2A11 aluminum sheet is the earliest used hard aluminum, commonly known as standard hard aluminum, with medium strength, good plasticity in annealing, rigid quenching and hot state, heat treatment can be strengthened, used in quenching and natural aging state, good spot welding weldability.

There is a tendency to crack in gas welding and argon arc welding with 2A11, the aluminum clad sheet has good stability, but the corrosion resistance is not high if aluminum is not coated, and there is a tendency of inter granular corrosion when the temperature is higher than 100 ℃.

1) Main characteristics and application scope:

Surface anodizing and painting can reliably protect extrusion and forging parts from corrosion. Cutting is good in quenching and aging state and bad in annealing state.

4) Heat treatment process: oil quenching and tempering.

The strength of this kind of steel wire is not as good as that of lead bath treated steel wire, but its performance is uniform and its cost is low. After cold coil forming, the stress is removed. Draw to the specified size, then annealing. After softening cold coil forming, the required mechanical properties can be obtained only  after quenching and tempering at medium temperature.
